The using method of the demulsifier comprises the following steps: measuring the content of oil in the petroleum-based oil slurry in storage equipment, and determining the amount of each component to be added into the demulsifier according to the oil content; heating the petroleum-based oil slurry to 60-70 DEG C by heating equipment, sequentially adding sodium carbonate and stirring for 30 minutes, adding the industrial salt and stirring for 30 minutes, adding sodium silicate and stirring for 120 minutes, and adding sodium sulfonate and stirring for 60 minutes; standing and extracting supernatant oil; discharging ash component and water into a reservoir, standing and precipitating; and solidifying and embedding sands at the lowest layer.
