Embodiment Construction

[0060] Various advantages, aspects and novel features of the present invention and illustrated embodiments may be better understood below with reference to the following description and drawings. However, the various embodiments of the present invention set forth herein are for purposes of illustration only and not limitation. In the diagram below, the arrows represent the direction of airflow.

[0061] Fig. 1(a) is a schematic diagram of a first embodiment of an air flow controller according to the present invention. Referring to Figure 1(a), the air flow controller comprises a closed hollow body 3 having a first surface and a second surface. There are a plurality of holes 4 on the first surface facing the inlet pipe 12 of the electrostatic charge reduction device to receive the air flow from the inlet pipe 12 of the electrostatic charge reduction device. An outlet duct 22 of the electrostatic charge reduction device is attached to the second surface of the closed hollow bo...

Abstract

An air stream controller and a system for static charge reduction comprising such air stream controller are disclosed. The air stream controller comprises an enclosed hollow body having a first surface and a second surface, wherein, an opening is on the first surface facing an incoming tubing of a device for static charge reduction for receiving air stream from the device for static charge reduction, wherein an outgoing tubing of the device for static charge reduction is attached onto the second surface of the enclosed hollow body for discharging the air stream. A technical solution to more effectively prevent the "leaking of air stream passage" can be achieved through the design of a multi-holes structure at the air passage to more broadly expand its air sucking area coverage without increasing the original suction power.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to techniques for reducing electrostatic charge, and more particularly, to an airflow controller and electrostatic charge reduction system. Background technique [0002] In a typical semiconductor manufacturing industry, the microchips at the test handler are usually transported after the test unit by following metal paths called runners. Intense market competition and the continuous price reduction of consumer electronics (such as televisions, video recorders, computers, mobile phones and other electronic equipment hosts, etc.) have added enormous pressure to manufacturers, making them urgently need to pass faster production speeds and Make smaller chips to reduce costs. This translates into requiring faster movement of the IC chip along the tester machine. Unfortunately, increased production speeds will cause triboelectrification, which will lead to more electrostatic charge generation, thus causing the IC chips transp...
