The data processing apparatus comprises a processor operable in a plurality of modes and a plurality of domains, said plurality of domains comprising a secure domain and a non-secure domain, said plurality of modes including at least one non-secure mode being a mode in the non-secure domain and at least one secure mode being a mode in the secure domain, said processor being operable such that when executing a program in a secure mode said program has access to secure data which is not accessible when said processor is operating in a non-secure mode. Further, a memory is provided for storing data required by the processor, and consists of secure memory for storing secure data and non-secure memory for storing non-secure data. The memory further contains a non-secure table and a secure table, the non-secure table being within the non-secure memory and arranged to contain for each of a number of first memory regions an associated descriptor, and the secure table being within the secure memory and arranged to contain for each of a number of second memory regions an associated descriptor. When access to an item of data in the memory is required by the processor, the processor issues a memory access request, and a memory management unit is provided to perform one or more predetermined access control functions to control issuance of the memory access request to the memory. The memory management unit comprises an internal storage unit operable to store descriptors retrieved by the memory management unit from either the non-secure table or the secure table, and in accordance with the present invention the internal storage unit comprises a flag associated with each descriptor stored within the internal storage unit to identify whether that descriptor is from the non-secure table or the secure table. By this approach, when the processor is operating in a non-secure mode, the memory management unit is operable to perform the predetermined access control functions for the memory access request with reference to access control information derived from the descriptors in the internal storage unit retrieved from the non-secure table. In contrast, when the processor is operating in a secure mode, the memory management unit is operable to perform the predetermined access control functions for the memory access request with reference to access control information derived from the descriptors in the internal storage unit retrieved from the secure table. This approach enables different descriptors to be used for the control of accesses to memory in either the secure domain or the non-secure domain, whilst enabling such different descriptors to co-exist within the memory management unit's internal storage unit, thereby avoiding the requirement to flush the contents of such an internal storage unit when the operation of the processor changes from the secure domain to the non-secure domain, or vice versa.

A cartridge unit 10 for an inkjet printer, with an ink storage compartment 46 and an ink feed system 30 for connection to a printhead 22. The ink storage compartment has a displaceable wall section 48 so that its variable storage volume 46 is variable. The displaceable wall 48 is biased 54 toward expanding the variable storage volume 46 so that there is a negative pressure in the ink storage volume 46, such that ink does not inadvertently leak from the ink ejection nozzles. Without negative pressure, an ink meniscus can bulge from the nozzles. The meniscus will ‘pin’ itself to the edge of the nozzle aperture and may be strong enough to stop ink leakage. However, paper dust or other contaminants will eventually stop the bulging meniscus from pinning itself on the nozzle rim and leakage occurs. A negative pressure in the ink storage volume makes the meniscus invert back into the nozzle aperture. As the meniscus does not bulge out of the nozzle, paper dust on the nozzle surface does not break the surface tension to cause leakage.

The invention has the following advantages: in the whole process, only commands for starting the true random number generator is controlled by a processor, the other procedures are realized by a hardware circuit, the processor and software are prohibited from participation, and bus transaction is not involved, thereby ensuring the safety of the key and preventing the key from being revealed; a sub-key expansion RAM is lead in by adopting AES crypto-algorithm encryption, an address automatically adds 1 or subtracts 1 according to each-round encryption / decryption operation, thereby solving the system speed bottleneck problem caused by too long elapsed time for expanding the key in the AES algorithm realized by the traditional method; and a buffer is added between the processor and the channel of the AES algorithm, thus improving the encrypting / decrypting speed, and realizing programme operating on an encrypted memorizer in real time.

A storage tank defines a cryogen space for storing a cryogenic liquid. The storage tank comprises a combined fill and vent assembly, which comprises a conduit having a first end with an opening disposed within an upper part of the cryogen space, and a second end outside of the cryogen space that is connected to a receptacle, to which a re-filling nozzle can be attached. A check valve disposed in the conduit allows flow only in the direction of filling the cryogen space with cryogenic liquid from the receptacle. A by-pass line is provided around the check valve with a valve disposed in the by-pass line that is operable to open or close to control flow through the by-pass line. The method comprises attaching a re-filling nozzle to the receptacle and opening the by-pass valve to vent vapor from the cryogen space to reduce vapor pressure therein and to cool the conduit, receptacle, re-filling nozzle, and fill line. After venting the storage tank, the by-pass valve is closed, and the storage tank can be re-filled through the receptacle and conduit.
