An air conditioning cooling apparatus and method which includes the steps of supplying cooling air generated from a cooling apparatus into an air passageway formed below a floor; guiding the cooling air within the air passageway into an equipment assembly disposed on the floor through an opening located in the floor; communicating the cooling air introduced into the equipment assembly into a plenum and introducing the air released from within the equipment into the plenum and communicating the released air through the cooling apparatus for cooling the released air. The method permits temperature differential between the air supplied to the air passageway and the air introduced into the plenum from the equipment assembly to be 45.degree. F. to substantially 40.degree. F. so as to reduce the power necessary for operating on the fan of the blowing apparatus. The equipment assembly utilizes an air flow control mechanism so as to substantially evenly distribute cooling air to the equipment.

The present invention provides one or more autonomous in-duct or register grill mounted flow control devices, each of which has the capability to restrict or boost air flow through the duct or vent to which it is attached. The individual flow control devices may be in communication with other flow control devices in the duct works, having an ability to adapt in a cooperative fashion to optimize the environment served by the ductwork. A speed cooking ovens is disclosed comprising a cooking cavity, thermal heating source, air movement and directing means, air flow control means, an air delivery means, and a vent assembly. The speed cooking oven may additionally utilize air flow control mechanisms and be practiced as a single rack speed cooking oven or a multi rack speed cooking oven. The invention provides a system and method comprising an apparatus for removing contaminants from a gas in a semiconductor processing device, which can include a filter unit having at least two parallel filter stages located therein. The filter stages are designed to remove a least a portion of the contaminants present in the gas flowing through them. The apparatus can also include a flow controller for distributing the gas flow among the filter stages. In one embodiment, the controller may consist of a diffuser plate. The invention also provides a sampling tube orifice for gas flow control in a system or method of the invention. In another embodiment, an apparatus for removing contaminants from a gas in a clean room comprises a filter unit having at least two parallel filter stages, which are used to remove a portion of the contaminants in the gas as it passes through the apparatus.

The present invention provides an improved apparatus for forming a fibrous pad for absorbent products with improved density control. Fibers entrained in a high speed air flow are deposited onto the foraminous surface of a spaced, three-dimensional pad-forming pocket. The fine foraminous pad forming screen is supported on its periphery by two top plates, a coarse forming screen, two subplates and end rails which incorporate a device to hold the pad forming screen. A gas flow regulating system consisting of precisely placed cross directional fixed and adjustable airflow control louvers controls the air flow direction and reduces spill over and turbulence during the pad formation and especially during the transition of the forming pocket into and out of the air stream as the rotary former shell rotates through the filling position. Additional control of density and fiber placement is gained through the use of additional gas control innovations including a tapering the pocket ends such that the airflow is streamlined especially during pocket transition through forming sections.

A sonic actuator including a multi-layer membrane having a non-metallic elastomeric dielectric polymer layer with a first surface and a second surface, a first compliant electrode layer contacting the first surface of the polymer layer, and a second compliant electrode layer contacting the second surface of the polymer layer. A battery housing structure, in an electric vehicle, is operable to regulate a temperature of a battery disposed between front and rear wheels of the vehicle. The battery housing structure includes a main housing body for receiving the battery, inlet and outlet ports for respectively supplying air to and discharging air from the main housing body; and a fan for discharging air from the main housing body. A multi-positional valve is disposed in line with the compressor for regulating the flow of air from the ambient environment into the compressor. A valve control manipulates the position of the multi-positional valve depending on the value of the parameter sensed by the sensor for regulating the quantity of air received from the ambient environment into the compressor inlet.

The first edge of the second sheet attaches to the first sheet such that the second sheet is substantially parallel to the corner. The brackets position the first sheet and the second sheet in the room.

The present invention is generally directed to an apparatus and a method for controlling an environment in a location. In one aspect, an apparatus for controlling an environmental condition in a location is provided. The apparatus includes a flow control device, wherein the flow control device is connectable to an environmental control unit via a conduit. The flow control device comprising a flow restriction member configured to selectively control an airflow into the location and a controller member configured to autonomously actuate the flow restriction member based upon the environmental condition in the location. In another aspect, a method for controlling an environmental condition in a first location and a second location is provided.
