The neutralization-method sulfur detector comprises a combustion furnace, a glass melting plate washing device, a combustion tube, a nickel-chromium pushing rod, an oxygen bottle, a gas collecting bottle and a gas pump; the combustion furnace and the glass melting plate washing device are fixed on a bottom plate; the gas collecting bottle contains sodium hydroxide solution; the combustion tube is connected with the oxygen bottle and the gas collecting bottle by gas guiding tubes; the glass melting plate washing device comprises a glass melting plate manipulator, an XY moving platform, a rotating shaft, two extruding manipulators, a guiding rod, a first motor and a second motor; the glass melting plate manipulator clamps the glass melting plates; the two extruding manipulators are symmetrically assembled on a two-way lead screw; and the guiding rod is parallel to the two-way lead screw and passes through guiding holes of the two extruding manipulators.
