The invention discloses a process method of producing chromium sesquioxide by utilizing industrial chromium-containing sludge. The method comprises the following steps: drying the industrial chromium-containing sludge in a drying room; crushing the dried blocky sludge into small particles by using a crusher; loading the small crushed particles into a high-temperature-resistant container, and then pushing the container into a pushed-slab kiln, calcining the container at a high temperature, cooling the container through a cooling belt, and then conveying the container out of the pushed-slab kiln to obtain a crude chromium sesquioxide product; putting an out-of-kiln product namely the crude chromium sesquioxide product into a closed crusher, crushing the product into small particles, conveying the small particles into an airflow vortex ultra-micro crusher through a conveying belt for crushing, performing iron removal for the first time through a belt iron remover, and conveying the small particles into a dry-powder vertical-type permanent-magnet iron remover for further iron removal, so that the obtained chromium sesquioxide is an ultrafine finished product with higher purity. The obtained finished product contains an extremely small number of elements such as copper, aluminum and zinc and incombustible impurities, and the content of the chromium-containing sludge is low, and the purity of the finished product can be about 90 percent or even higher.
