Abstract

The invention discloses a process for preparing an anti-corrosion waterborne acrylic emulsion, and belongs to the field of waterborne industrial paint coatings. The process comprises the following steps: (1) pre-preparing a monomer emulsion, namely, sequentially adding 100-150 parts of water, 2-8 parts of an emulsifier containing polymerizable phosphate, 50-150 parts of styrene, 10-50 parts of n-butyl acrylate, 50-200 parts of iso-octyl acrylate, 20-100 parts of methyl methacrylate, 2-10 parts of methacrylic acid and 0-50 parts of acrylonitrile into a first emulsified liquid reaction kettle, and performing stirring for 1-3 hours so as to obtain the monomer emulsion for later use; (2) pre-preparing an initiator, namely, dissolving ammonium persulfate into 30-50 parts of water, and performing stirring so as to obtain an initialize solution for later use; and (3) performing synthesis, namely, performing a synthesis process of temperature-variable polymerization. Overall performance evaluation shows that the prepared anti-corrosion waterborne acrylic emulsion is excellent in comprehensive properties, and outstanding in water resistance, salt mist resistance and adhesion properties.
