The invention discloses a neutral ink, which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 3 to 7 parts of carbon black, 11 to 17 parts of methacrylic acid, 24 to 28 parts of deionized water, 4 to 6 parts of methyl methacrylate, 3 to 4 parts of polyacrylamide, 1 to 3 parts of sodium pyrophosphate, 2 to 6 parts of dimethyl ethanol amine, 2 to 5 parts of sodium tripolyphosphate, 2 to 4 parts of oleic acid, 1 to 3 parts of tributyl phosphate, 5 to 8 parts of sodium stearate, 1 to 2 parts of dispersant, 1 to 3 parts of thixotropy and rheology conditioning agent, and 0.5 to 1 part of mildew inhibitor. The dispersant is prepared by compounding an anionic dispersant and polyethylene glycol 200; the viscosity of the neutral ink is adjusted to a proper range by the thixotropy and rheology conditioning agent; and the viscosity stability is maintained so as to prepare a high quality neutral ink.
