Abstract

The invention discloses a fuel cell system for producing hydrogen by gasifying biomasses, and a power generating method thereof. A technology for producing hydrogen from the biomasses is an environmentally-friendly clean energy technology, and agriculture and forestry wastes adopted as a raw material realize the high-efficiency clean local utilization of the biomass resource and avoid the cost for large-scale collection and storage of the biomass raw material; the production of hydrogen from the biomasses is combined with a clean and efficient hydrogen flue cell to solve the electric power supply of parts of regions and alleviate the short supply of electric power; a molten carbonate fuel cell facilitates the utilization of thermo-chemical conversion of the biomasses, and approaches commercialization; and the fuel cell system has a high systemic power generating efficiency reaching about 50%, and has greatly better performances than routine biomass gasification driven gas turbine systems.
