Abstract

The invention discloses an integrated granular sludge vulcanization and decalcification apparatus and method. A main body of the apparatus comprises a sludge collection area, a water distribution area, a decalcification area, a vulcanization area and a circulation area. The sludge collection area is provided with a sludge collection chamber and a sludge guide pipe; the water distribution area is provided with a water inlet pipe and a water distribution chamber; the decalcification area is provided with a granular sludge chamber and a sedimentation separation chamber; the vulcanization area isprovided with an air supply chamber, a sulfur granule bed and an annular acid storage chamber; and the circulation area is provided with an acid liquor circulation system and a mixed liquor circulation system. Through the function of the circulation area, the continuous production of sulfuric acid is implemented; through the function of the decalcification area, the continuous dissolution of calcium carbonate is implemented; through the function of the circulation area, the recycling of sulfuric acid liquor is implemented; and through the function of the sludge collection area, the output of decalcified granular sludge is implemented. The apparatus integrates acid production by vulcanization and granular sludge decalcification together, so the structure of the apparatus is compact; becausethe acid is produced by thiobacillus, the cost is low, and the thiobacillus can oxidize elemental sulfur into the sulfuric acid as long as the sulfur granule bed is aerated; because acid liquor is adopted for dissolution for decalcification, the amount of acid can be controlled, and damage to granular sludge can be alleviated.
