The preparation method comprises the following steps of thoroughly cleaning the raw materials of the purely natural green plums, the haws, the licorice roots and the sweet-scented osmanthus, and removing kernels from the green plums and the haws; performing blending to obtain 25% hydromel,and adding 5% of edible salt; putting the thoroughly-cleaned kernel-removed green plums, the thoroughly-cleaned kernel-removed haws, the thoroughly-cleaned licorice roots and the thoroughly-cleaned sweet-scented osmanthus into the hydromel to which the edible salt is added, performing soaking for 5 hours, and performing boiling over for 10 minutes; performing airing for cooling, filtering out moisture, and performing drying in an oven for 20 minutes; and performing airing for cooling, and performing grinding to obtain powder namely the sour plum powder.
