The insecticide composition contains effective components andan aid. The insecticide composition is characterized in that the effective components are imidaclothiz and sophocarpidine, the mass ratio of imidaclothiz to sophocarpidine is (0.4-10) to 1, and the total content of the effective components is 1%-80%. By compounding imidaclothiz with sophocarpidine, the insecticide composition has good effects to the prevention and treatment of injurious insects such as cotton aphids and cotton bollworms and is capable of delaying the drug resistance of imidaclothiz, so that the use amount of imidaclothiz is reduced; and meanwhile, the insecticide composition is safe to crops and is accordant with the safety requirements on pesticide preparations.
