Problems solved by technology

Although it is feasible to increase frequency utilization, the potential is limited. It is very difficult to increase the speed in the case of large coverage of traditional macro base stations. It is difficult to achieve a 20% increase in spectrum utilization.
In the face of the thousand-fold speed-up requirement in the 5G era, this method of internal potential tapping is not feasible, and it is only possible by greatly increasing the bandwidth; however, to greatly increase the bandwidth, a higher frequency band must be used

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of integrated circuits, and in particular relates to a four-channel phased array transceiver with phase control and applied to a 5G millimeter wave base station. The four-channel phased array transceiver monolithic is integrated with a four-channel transmitter and a four-channel receiver, and mainly comprises a transmission antenna, a power amplifier with phase control, a frequency mixer in a transmission path, a receiving antenna, a low-noise amplifier with phase control and a frequency mixer in a receiving path. Phase shifting is achieved by usingan interstage matching network of the low-noise amplifier and the power amplifier, so that the high area overhead and insertion loss of the traditional passive phase shifter are avoided; meanwhile, the phased array transceiver monolithic is integrated with the four-channel transmitter and the four-channel receiver, so that the area of the whole transceiver chip is greatly reduced. Therefore, compared with the traditional transceiver framework, the four-channel phased array transceiver has the advantages of small area and high link gain.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of integrated circuits, and in particular relates to a four-channel phased array transceiver with phase control applied to a 5G millimeter wave base station. Background technique [0002] Since the advent of wireless cellular mobile phones in the 1980s, after more than 30 years of development, it has entered the 4G era. The fourth-generation wireless mobile communication technology is very mature now, and it can meet the needs of mobile communication and multimedia information access under most conditions. But with the development of technology, the fourth-generation wireless mobile communication technology has been unable to meet people's increasingly strong information needs. [0003] According to the data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China: For 2020 and beyond, mobile data traffic will experience explosive growth. It is estimated that the global mo...
