Problems solved by technology

[0004] The laser beam modulated by the existing optical phased array needs to cooperate with other devices to expand the scanning range and improve the scanning efficiency. These devices are usually composed of multiple mirrors, which are too large and difficult to integrate, and will increase production costs.

Embodiment Construction

[0017] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. The following examples are only used to illustrate the technical solution of the present invention more clearly, but not to limit the protection scope of the present invention.

[0018] Such as figure 1 As shown, a novel optical waveguide phased array scanning system includes a wavelength tunable laser 1 , an optical waveguide array 2 , a beam splitter 3 and several optical switches 4 .

[0019] The wavelength tunable laser 1 is used as a light source to emit laser light to the optical waveguide array 2. The wavelength tunable laser 1 can be connected to an external CPU and controlled by the CPU. The wavelength tunable laser 1 emits laser light in the mid-infrared band with a center wavelength of 3.6 μm. In the safe band, the scanning range and accuracy can be expanded by increasing the laser intensity, and the spacing of the subsequent optical waveguide array 2 can be ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a novel optical waveguide phased array scanning system comprising a wavelength tunable laser, an optical waveguide array and a beam splitting prism, wherein the wavelength tunable laser, as a light source, emits laser to the optical waveguide array; the optical waveguide array deflects the laser; the deflected light is directed to the beam splitting prism which then equallydivides the beam into a plurality of parts; and each exit surface of the beam splitting prism faces the incident end of an optical switch. The novel optical waveguide phased array scanning system provided by the invention adopts an optical waveguide array for laser modulation, divides a beam of light into a plurality of beams by the beam splitting prism, and expands the single direction scanninginto multiple directions for simultaneous scanning, thereby improving scanning efficiency. At the same time, the device used is simple in structure and small in size, and has the characteristics of easy integration and low cost.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a scanning system, in particular to a novel optical waveguide phased array scanning system. Background technique [0002] Beam scanning technology is a basic technology in laser applications, and is widely used in many fields such as laser radar, laser guidance, and laser display. Mechanical deflection technology is currently the most mature optical deflection method, which uses the mechanical movement of the entire optical system or a part of it to realize beam scanning. However, its inherent defects such as large motion inertia, slow scanning speed, and high price greatly restrict its application prospect and practical value in the vicinity of laser beam scanning technology. [0003] Optical phased array technology is a new type of electronically controlled beam scanning technology, and its core components are composed of several phase modulation units. By using the electro-optical effect of the crystal, a certain voltage i...
