An automatic calibration device and a calibration method of a micro ring type optical switch are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: reading the transmission spectrum of a micro ringassisted Mach-Zehnder interference optical switch in the initial state; preprocessing the initial transmission spectrum; processing the preprocessed transmission spectrum by using a trained parametercalculation model to obtain the state parameters of the optical switch; and automatically calibrating the optical switch to a cross or pass-through state according to the state parameters. In the invention, the working state of the micro ring assisted Mach-Zehnder interference optical switch is acquired in real time by using a trained neural network model, and the working state is automatically calibrated by using an automatic control device.
