The first quenching process is set as the heating zone at the temperature of 950-1,000 DEG C, and the heat preservation zone is atthe temperature of 930-980 DEG C; and the second quenching process is set as the heating zone at the temperature of 930-980 DEG C, and the heat preservation zone is at the temperature of 900-950 DEGC. In the manufacturing process of the R6-grade mooring chain, the quenching and tempering temperatures is controlled, so that the mechanical properties of the material and the chain ring manufacturedby the material are greatly improved. In order to meet the requirement of the R 6-stage mooring chain heat treatment, the heating temperature and the movement speed of the chain are strictly controlled, enough heat can be absorbed in the quenching process of the chain, and the transformation of austenite is fully realized; meanwhile, when the tempering treatment is guaranteed, the chain can achieve the expected transition of the internal tissue of the material. The two-time quenching process of the R6-grade mooring chain can be widely applied to the batch production and manufacturing processof the R6 mooring chain on a deep sea drilling platform.
