The cooling liquid is composed of, by weight, 0.1-5% of borax, 0.001-1% of an azole compound, 0.1-5% of nitrite, 0.01-1%of nitrate, 0.001-0.5% of a mercaptobenzothiazole derivative, 0.1-4% of silicate, 0.001-0.2% of a dispersion scale inhibition stabilizing agent, and the balance of deionized water. The cooling liquidfor the internal combustion locomotive can effectively protect aluminum and soldering tin materials which are most likely to be corroded in a cooling system, and the galvanic corrosion problem of copper and welding flux is solved.
