Abstract

The invention relates to a polyisocyanate composition, an aqueous coating composition and a coated substrate. Provided is a polyisocyanate composition which has a good viscosity change, has a good period of validity when made into an aqueous coating composition, and has excellent drying properties, gloss, hardness, water resistance, and salt water spray resistance when made into a coating film. The polyisocyanate composition contains a polyisocyanate derived from one or more types of diisocyanate selected from the group consisting of aliphatic diisocyanates and alicyclic diisocyanates, and the molar ratio of isocyanurate groups among bonding groups derived from isocyanate groups contained in the polyisocyanate is the maximum. The ratio of the mass fraction (B) of the polyisocyanate having a number-average molecular weight of 400 to 700 (inclusive) to the mass fraction (A) of the polyisocyanate having a number-average molecular weight of 200 to less than 400 is 1 to 150, and the mass fraction of the polyisocyanate having a number-average molecular weight of 1000 or more is 5 to 20 mass% relative to the total mass of the polyisocyanate composition.
