Embodiment Construction

[0049] In the following, only one possible embodiment of the invention is discussed, namely the monitoring of foreign matter in the fiber tow flow by a fiber cleaner in the blowing chamber. However, this is in no way intended to limit the generality of the invention. Furthermore, the textile fiber formation can be sliver, roving, yarn or woven fabric. In the case of yarns, the device according to the invention is preferably a yarn clearer.

[0050] figure 1 A device 100 according to the invention is shown schematically. The device 100 is used to optimize the yarn production process. It monitors foreign matter 90 in the textile fiber formation 9, in this example the fiber bundle flow. It comprises a pneumatic fiber conveying channel 101 for pneumatically conveying the fiber bundle flow 9 in the air flow. The transport direction of the fiber bundle 9 and the air flow is given by figure 1 Arrow 91 in .

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for optimizing a yarn production process, wherein foreign matter (90) is monitored in textile fibre formation (9). Irradiation of the textile fibres with electromagnetic radiation from at least two color ranges is formed (9). The foreign bodies (90) are classified into different color classes according to their colors. If a sufficiently large random sample with a classified foreign matter (90) is available, a frequency distribution of the foreign matter is determined for a color category and compared to a reference frequency distribution. If the determined frequency distribution deviates from the reference frequency distribution, at least one of a set of multiple optimization actions is performed, e.g., a warning signal is output.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of yarn production. According to the independent patent claims, the present invention relates to a method and a device for optimizing a yarn production process during which foreign matter in the formation of textile fibers is monitored. Background technique [0002] Foreign matter in yarn is one of the main problems in spinning mills today. These are materials other than the intended base material of yarn fibers (eg cotton fibers). They can come from various sources, such as plastic packaging, rope, human or animal hair, etc. Foreign matter can cause yarn breakage during spinning and weaving, dye differently from the base material and affect the appearance of the final textile product. They significantly reduce the value of the final product. An overview of fabric defects caused by foreign bodies and recommendations for reducing these defects was presented by Uster Technologies AG in March 2010 at Given in parag...
