Abstract

The process of synthesizing high-hydroscopicity resin with expired gun propellant includes the steps of: diluting sodium acrylate with water; swelling waste collodion cotton with acetone into dilute paste; mixing the swelling waste expired gun propellant and diluted sodium acrylate; adding ethanol solution of hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydrogen sulfite, epoxy chloropropane; raising to 35-45 deg.c under the protection of nitrogen and maintaining for 20-40 min; heating to 60-90 deg.c for static polymerization for 1.5-3 hr, stoving and crushing to obtain final product. The said process can change the expired gun propellant into useful material.
