[0010] 1. Preparation of N-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-benzyl)-acrylamide (HMBA) monomer
[0011] Accurately measure 100ml of absolute ethanol in a 250ml single-necked flask, slowly pour 10ml of concentrated sulfuric acid into it, then weigh 40g of N-methylolacrylamide and 50g of guaiacol respectively and add them to the above flask, shake well, and React at 35°C for 7 days. It was shaken vigorously every 5 hours during the reaction. After the reaction, a large amount of white solids were precipitated in the system. The solid therein was filtered off and washed with water until the pH value of the filtrate was neutral. Recrystallized from ethanol to obtain colorless needle-like crystals. The dry weight of the obtained solid N-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxy-benzyl)-acrylamide was 33.9g, the yield was 26.6%, and the melting point was 146-147°C. 1 H-NMR and infrared spectroscopy confirmed that the product was HMBA.
