[0016] Taking Zheyin No. 3 poplar x Beijing poplar as an example, the infructescences of a certain period after pollination were fixed with FAA (V (70% ethanol): V (acetic acid): V (38% formaldehyde) = 90: 5: 5) , and observed the flocculent fiber development state inside the ovary, and observed the zygote development process through conventional paraffin sections. Due to certain asynchronous development, a large number of zygote development in ovules were counted, and the experimental error disappeared. A total of 213 ovules were counted. It indicated that the occurrence and development of flocculent fibers in the ovary of Poplar Zheyin 3 were closely related to the process of double fertilization and zygote development (Table 1). When the flocculent fibers in the ovary begin to wrap around the base of the ovule ( figure 1 ), or further start to wrap the middle of the ovule but not completely cover the ovule, at this time, most zygotes enter the first mitotic process.
