Abstract

The invention provides a laser ranging system based on a low-frequency constant-exponential spectrum chaotic signal source and an implementation method thereof. A low-frequency constant-Lyapunov exponential spectrum chaotic signal is adopted as a modulation signal, light is adopted as carrier, and laser modulation, demodulation, correlation detection and summation detection are carried out to obtain range information. The laser ranging system comprises the signal source, a summation detection channel, a correlation detection channel, a regulation control mechanism and a discriminant analysis system. The summation detection utilizes the phase inversion control characteristic of the constant-exponential spectrum chaotic system, while the amplitude regulation can obtain signal intensity needed by detection. The outputs of the correlation detection and the summation detection can be independent from each other, and the correlation detection and the summation detection can check each other. The invention also provides the laser ranging implementation method. The laser ranging system has the advantages of high range resolution, dual-channel detection and low cost. Since the low-frequency chaotic signal is utilized, the system can be extended to use other chaotic sources. The laser ranging system belongs to an electronic communication product, and can be widely applied in communication systems, photoelectric detection systems and the Internet of things.
