Abstract

The present invention provides a method for extracting penicillin from a penicillin aqueous solution and applications thereof. The method comprises: mixing an organic solvent and a penicillin aqueous solution to obtain a first mixture, wherein a pH value of the first mixture is less than 6; and dividing the first mixture into an oil phase and a water phase, and separating the oil phase to obtain an extraction solution containing penicillin, wherein the organic solvent is sec-butyl acetate. The present invention further provides a penicillin extraction method. With the methods, a high penicillin extraction yield can be obtained. The sec-butyl acetate has a low production cost, such that a penicillin production cost can be reduced with the methods. In addition, the sec-butyl acetate has low toxicity, such that influence on health of operators can be reduced with the methods.
