The starting method of a shortcut nitration technology in a membrane bioreactor (MBR) comprises the following steps: inoculating returned sludge of a municipal sewage plant, and recovering the activities of sludge under a nutrient-rich condition; gradually increasing the ammonia nitrogen concentration while keeping the water inlet flow unchanged under an oxygen-limited condition to increase the ammonia nitrogen load of inlet water and successfully start shortcut nitration; and adjusting the HRT to 6.2-7.5h under a same running condition to successfully start partial shortcut nitration. The rapid starting method of the shortcut nitration in the MBR provides a way for the long-term efficient and stable running of the shortcut nitration in the MBR.
