Abstract

The invention discloses a pre-treatment method for electroplating iron-based hardware. The method comprises the following steps: (a) cleaning and removing oil stains on the surface of the iron-based hardware by using an alkaline solution; (b) cleaning and removing oxides on the surface of the iron-based hardware by using an acidic solution; and (c) electrochemically polishing the hardware, wherein a chemical polishing liquid contains 100-110mL/L hydrogen peroxide, 200-260mL/L acetic acid, 130-320mL/L concentrated nitric acid, 80-90mL/L sulfamic acid, 55-105mL/L hydroxyethane diphosphonic acid and 20-30g/L lauryl sodium sulfate, andby taking a lead electrode as a negative pole and the hardware as a positive pole, electrochemical treatment is carried out for 20-40 minutes, and the current density is 9-20A/dm<2>. According to the pre-treatment method for electroplating the iron-based hardware disclosed by the invention, the hardware is electrochemically polished to remove a passivation layer formed in the previous step, and the process can obtain a plating layer of the hardware with an excellent combining performance in a subsequent electroplating process.
