Abstract

The invention relates to an amphiprotic flocculant based on natural high polymers and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the technical fields of organic high polymer materials and flocculants for water treatment. Graft copolymerization is performed on cationic chitosan and anionic lignin or fulvic acid used as raw materials under certain reaction conditions to prepare the natural high polymer flocculant based on the chitosan, lignin or fulvic acid. The natural high polymer flocculant prepared by the invention is a white particle with some brown parts. The preparation method has the major characteristics of mild reaction conditions and simple process. The raw materials are the natural high polymers which are abundant in source and low in price; and the synthesized flocculant is non-toxic, environment-friendly and suitable for treatment of various electroplating wastewater, dye wastewater and municipal sewage.
