Abstract

The invention discloses a preparing method for an Al-Ti-RE intermediate alloy. A Ti raw material is obtained through oil removal, shearing smashing and cake pressing treatment; then an alloying reaction of the Ti and molten aluminum is made in a medium-frequency induction furnace; a rare earth raw material is added; and finally direct pouring molding is carried out after slag removal and gas removal treatment. According to the preparing method, the RE element is directly added on the basis of an original Al-Ti alloy, the effects of mechanical stirring and electromagnetic stirring are sufficiently used in the preparing process, segregation of the Ti element is avoided, and therefore the refining effect is obviously improved. Meanwhile, on selection of a Ti source, titanium scrap waste generated in the titanium product industry is used, and circulated utilization of the titanium waste is achieved. In this way, as for the industrial actual production, the high reality significance is achieved, and the very good economic benefits are obtained.
