Embodiment Construction

[0052] The basic basis of short-range radar design is application requirements. First of all, the radar operating frequency should be determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of the national frequency management. The commonly available frequencies in China are roughly in several frequency bands such as 10GHz, 24GHz, 47GHz, and 77GHz. Design can begin with selecting the appropriate antenna. For altimetry applications, a cone-beam antenna is suitable. When using the 24GHz frequency band, for example, a microstrip array antenna with an array element number of 8×8=64, the beamwidth that can be achieved is 12.5 0 ×12.5 0 ; If the number of array elements is 10×10=100, the achievable beam width is 10 0 ×10 0. Both dual-antenna and single-antenna schemes can be used. Generally speaking, the dual-antenna scheme has a high isolation between radar transceivers and better performance, but the size of the radar must be increased due to the dual antennas. For radars us...

Abstract

An economical FMCW short distance measuring radar is provided and can measure the distance between a stationary or moving target and the radar. There are two implementation schemes for the radar, in afirst scheme, reception and transmission are carried out by means of one microstrip array antenna, and a circulator is added to isolate a receiving channel from a transmitting channel; and in a second scheme, reception and transmission are carried out by means of two separated antennae. The radar also comprises a microwave power divider, a balanced mixer, a voltage controlled oscillator, a modulation voltage generator, a temperature sensing controller, a synchronous time-base circuit, a reception amplifier, a demodulation filter circuit, an analog-digital converter, a digital signal processor, and a distance data output and display combination. Stability control is carried out on linear frequency modulation according to reference frequency stabilization and frequency modulation width stabilization. A demodulation filtering design scheme is led in the hardware design, and the distance measuring function is expanded. Target distance information is extracted by means of a DSP processor and fast Fourier transformation. The radar outputs target distance data and can also output a target distance distribution map in a radar beam irradiation orientation in a waveform display mode.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of electronic information, and proposes a design and realization method of an economical short-distance ranging radar. technical background [0002] The need for short-range ranging radars arises in many applications. For example, a robot performing spraying operations in a building needs to adjust its position in the work area at any time to avoid collisions with walls and other obstacles, so it is necessary to measure the distance between the robot and its environment at any time. Other sensors are difficult to apply due to the heavily polluted conditions of the operation. Another example is altitude measurement for agricultural aircraft, small drones for civilian use, and balloons for environmental monitoring. It is difficult to obtain the accurate height to the ground by using physical methods such as barometers and geomagnetic induction. The laser ranging method is easily affected by trees and vegetation, maki...
