The H-shaped steel is prepared from the chemical ingredients in percentage by mass: 0.06 to 0.15% of carbon, 0.20 to 0.55% of silicon, 1.00 to 1.45% of manganese, smaller than or equal to 0.025% of phosphorus, smaller than or equal to 0.015% of sulphur, 0.030 to 0.150% of vanadium, 0.050 to 0.090% of antimony, 0.9 to 2.20% of chromium and the balance of trace impurities of iron residues. Compared to the prior art, according to the invention, the H-shaped steel produced by the production method has yield strength of over 380Mpa, toughness at a low temperature of -40 DEG C of over 100J and has excellent toughness of resisting to low temperature impact.
