Abstract

The invention provides an electricity storage system of a vanadium battery cargo ship and a charging method. The system comprises a vanadium battery collocation room, a vanadium battery electrolyte storage area, a pump-in pipeline and a pump-out pipeline, wherein the vanadium battery electrolyte storage area comprises anti-corrosion buckets for separate storage of anode and cathode electrolytes; the anti-corrosion buckets are communicated with a double bottom ballasting area at the bottom of a cabin; an extraction opening of the pump-out pipeline is communicated with the bottommost part of theballasting area; the other end of the pump-out pipeline conveys the electrolytes to a shore-based liquid exchanging and charging platform through a connecting pipe; one end of the pump-in pipeline isconnected with a shore-based charging station; a liquid outlet is connected into an electrolyte bucket; the vanadium battery collocation room comprises a magnetic pump connected to the double bottomballasting area storing the electrolyte, and a vanadium battery pile set connected with the other end of the magnetic pump; an outlet pipeline of the vanadium battery pile set is communicated with theanti-corrosion buckets.
