A phodopseudomonas palustris bacterial strain is phodopseudomonas palustris; and the phodopseudomonas palustris microbial inoculum is prepared through activation of the phodopseudomonas palustris bacterialstrain, seed culture and production culture. The phodopseudomonas palustris is simple in production process, short in culture time and low in cost; and a biocontrol microbial inoculum and biocontrol fermentation liquor which are used for the prevention and control of the southern blight of tomatoes can be prepared from the strain by a simple, rapid and low-cost operation method. The biocontrol microbial inoculum and the biocontrol fermentation liquor prepared from the phodopseudomonas palustris are environmentally-friendly, non-toxic to humans and animals, harmless to crops, simple and convenient to apply, and not liable to cause drug resistance to plant diseases and insect pests.
