Abstract

The invention discloses a circularly-polarized micro-strip array antenna with high isolation based on an electric resonator. The circularly-polarized micro-strip array antenna comprises two pairs of circularly-polarized unit antennas and the electrical resonator loaded between the two pairs of circularly-polarized unit antennas. The two pairs of circularly-polarized unit antennas and the electrical resonator are printed to the same dielectric substrate with the back face being provided with a metal floor. The circularly-polarized unit antennas adopt coaxial probes for feed, and irradiators ofthe circularly-polarized unit antennas are square micro-strip patches with the vertexes being loaded with circular patches of different radii. The electric resonator is constituted by a pair of back-to-back open resonant rings and two metallized via holes in short circuit with the metal floor. In a working frequency band, the electrical resonator presents a negative equivalent dielectric constant,electromagnetic coupling of the two pairs of circularly-polarized unit antennas can be effectively suppressed, and isolation of the unit antennas is improved. The circularly-polarized micro-strip array antenna has the advantages of being good in circular polarization radiation performance, high in unit isolation, low in structure profile and easy and convenient to manufacture.
