Abstract

The invention discloses a narrow-band optical filter based on a micro-ring resonator, an optical element and an application. The narrow-band optical filter comprises an input optical waveguide, a micro-ring optical filter unit and an output optical waveguide, wherein the input optical waveguide is used for inputting a to-be-processed broadband optical signal; the micro-ring optical filter unit isused for filtering the broadband optical signal in the input optical waveguide; and the output optical waveguide is used for outputting the filtered broadband optical signal. The narrow-band optical filter only adopts three micro-ring resonators, has the advantages of simple structure, low loss, small size, and small adjustment and control difficulty, realizes the filtering function of narrow bandwidth and high roll-off rate, and can meet the requirements for processing microwave photon signals in the optical fiber communication field.
