This sensor element(3) is additionally provided with a catalyst layer (60) which covers the detection electrode and which comprises: a porous carrier (63); and one or more catalysts (65) which are supported by the carrier and are selected from the group consisting of Ru, Rh, Pd, Ir and Pt.
