Abstract

The invention discloses a three-port optical circulator, comprising a first port, a second port and a third port and used for transmitting light incident from the first port to the second port and transmitting light incident from the second port to the third port. The optical circulator further comprises a polarization conversion module, a nonreciprocal polarization optical rotation module, a polarization beam splitter prism and a reflection prism. Compared with the prior art, a reflection-type folded optical path is adopted; and compared with a traditional optical isolator, the optical circulator has the advantages of being shorter and smaller in boundary dimension, simple in optical path structure, easy to manufacture in batches and higher in isolation degree in design, and further meetsapplication requirements on a single-fiber bidirectional transmission module in the field of digital communication.
