The invention discloses a carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis catalyst taking modified silica gel as a carrier and a preparation method of the carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis catalyst, the carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis catalyst comprises the modified silica gel as the carrier and an active component loaded on the modified silica gel, and the mass percentage of the active component relative to the amount of themodified silica gel is 5-25%. The active component is any one or a combination of more than one of CH3COOLi, CH3COOCs, CH3COOK, Cs2CO3, Rb2CO3 and K2CO3.
