Abstract

The invention relates to a composition containing resorcinol or phenethyl resorcinol for preventing, treating or ameliorating skin diseases induced by air pollutants. The resorcinol or phenethyl resorcinol according to the present invention has the effects of inhibiting expression of XRE induced by air pollutants such as benzo (a) pyrene and fine dust, expression of protein or mRNA of CYP1A1, or movement of AhR into a nucleus, and the like, thereby confirming that the resorcinol or phenethyl resorcinol can inhibit skin irritation.
