[0037] Preparation of silica and aluminosilicate composites

[0038] The step of preparing the silica and aluminosilicate composite material with infiltrated structure is by adding a solution of sodium silicate or a solution which produces silicon oxide and aluminum hydroxide when heated or a solution which produces aluminum oxide when heated at about 30- This is done by mixing in water at a temperature of 70°C. The different ratios of silicon to aluminum are shown in Table 1. Then, the pH was adjusted to 5.5-8.5, and the mixture was stirred for an additional hour or more. Afterwards, the pH value was adjusted to 9-11, and the mixture was stirred for another 3-24 hours. The resulting gel is washed, dried at a temperature of about 100-120°C, and calcined at a temperature of about 500-700°C.

Abstract

The present invention relates to the adsorbent for separating organochloride compound from liquid hydrocarbon and a process thereof, wherein said adsorbent is the silica and aluminosilicate composite having infiltrate structure subjected to the modification of the surface property with small metal having high electronegativity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of chemistry, in particular to an adsorbent for separating organic chlorine compounds from liquid hydrocarbons and a method thereof. Background technique [0002] Catalytic reforming is a chemical process used to convert naphtha, which is obtained from the refining of crude oil, from low octane to higher octane. The products obtained from the catalytic reforming process are called reformate. The main catalysts used are platinum or rhenium on silica or silica-alumina composite support. The catalyst needs to be chlorinated to prevent the platinum or rhenium from agglomerating into larger particles which would degrade the catalyst. [0003] However, hydrogen gas produced during the reforming process will react with chlorides on the catalyst surface to form hydrogen chloride. The hydrogen chloride produced will react with unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds to form organochlorine compounds. Hydrogen chloride is a highly...
