[0037] Preparation of silica and aluminosilicate composites
[0038] The step of preparing the silica and aluminosilicate composite material with infiltrated structure is by adding a solution of sodium silicate or a solution which produces silicon oxide and aluminum hydroxide when heated or a solution which produces aluminum oxide when heated at about 30- This is done by mixing in water at a temperature of 70°C. The different ratios of silicon to aluminum are shown in Table 1. Then, the pH was adjusted to 5.5-8.5, and the mixture was stirred for an additional hour or more. Afterwards, the pH value was adjusted to 9-11, and the mixture was stirred for another 3-24 hours. The resulting gel is washed, dried at a temperature of about 100-120°C, and calcined at a temperature of about 500-700°C.
