[0015] To a mixture of bridged diamine (10 mmol) and pyridine (or quinoline) derivative (22 mmol) was added a few drops of glacial acetic acid and 20 mL of dried ethanol. After the reaction mixture was refluxed for 48 hours under the protection of argon, it was precipitated with refrigerated methanol to obtain yellow crystals, which were the ligands of catalysts 1-4 and 7-10. Ligands for catalysts 5 and 6 were prepared by adding two drops of concentrated sulfuric acid and Si(OEt) to a mixture of diamine (10 mmol) and 2-benzoylpyridine (22 mmol) 4 (23 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated to 150°C under an argon atmosphere and maintained at this temperature for about 10 hours. The residue was dissolved in 100 mL of ether and washed with Na 2 SO 4 dry. After distilling off volatile substances in the filtrate, it was purified by column chromatography.
