Orthodontic appliance

The present invention aims to provide an orthodontic appliance capable of aligning teeth within a shorter period of time than usual without using braces including an orthodontic wire and brackets. This appliance is provided with a dental mouthpiece mountable on teeth and a vibrating element. The dental mouthpiece is so shaped as to apply a biasing force in an aligning direction to a tooth to be aligned in the teeth while being mounted on the teeth. The vibrating element is attached to the dental mouthpiece, generates mechanical vibration and applies the vibration to the tooth to be aligned, thereby activating the bone remodeling of a target tooth and an alveolar bone to promote an orthodontic effect.

Orthodontic connector providing controlled engagement with an orthodontic wire

The present invention provides an orthodontic connector, along with related assemblies, used in coupling an orthodontic wire to an orthodontic auxiliary such a force module. The connector includes a slot with rigid and opposing walls and one or more flexible clips, which independently engage the wire. The combination of rigid and flexible components allows the connector to easily engage to and disengage from the wire and couple with a wide range of auxiliaries and fixed orthodontic appliances while simultaneously preventing the connector and associated auxiliary from unduly rotating about the longitudinal axis of the wire. Restricting this rotation advantageously prevents these components from either rotating into the occlusion or into the patient's soft tissue.

Orthodontic toothbrush

A toothbrush with a head having at least one pair of twisted wire brushes secured to the head's top surface in a position that creates a narrow and substantially uniform trench between the bristles of opposing brushes. Head construction may be solid, curved, blunt, tapering, or have a forked distal end. When a user's brace hardware and / or orthodontic wires are placed within the trench, bristles adjacent to it reach tooth surfaces behind the orthodontic wires to gently remove plaque without wire or hardware breakage. The twisted wires of opposing conical brushes are not parallel so as to create a uniform trench. The twisted wires in narrow end of conical brushes are also angled toward the distal end of the toothbrush head to facilitate reaching crowded back teeth without orthodontic wire breakage. The toothbrush handle can be laterally angled relative to its head and brushes are optionally replaceable by the user.

Interactive/passive bracket system

Interactive / passive bracket system developed to provide orthodontic treatment in a more comfortable, efficient and faster manner. Its function with the orthodontic wire may be determined by an orthodontist in order to make it interactive or only passive. It is something innovative because no bracket system can provide these two features in the same bracket. The presence of two convertible slots which is also a significant differential feature will simplify the tooth movement in the class I, II and Angle III relations. Besides, the rounded design makes the Revolution systems more comfortable and traps less food, thus facilitating brushing.
