The present disclosure is directed to an electrosurgical system. The electrosurgical system includes an electrosurgical generator configured to output electrosurgical energy and including a receptacle having at least one mechanical interface. The system also includes an electrosurgical instrument adapted to connect to the electrosurgical generator and configured to deliver energy to tissue. Further, a plug is provided to engage the receptacle to electrically couple the electrosurgical instrument to the electrosurgical generator. The plug includes a terminal electrically coupled to the electrosurgical instrument and a prong electrically coupled to the terminal that includes a recess defined therein and is configured to receive the at least one mechanical interface. When the plug is disengaged from the receptacle, the at least one mechanical interface cooperates with the recess to uncouple the prong from the terminal.

The present disclosure is directed to an electrosurgical system. A rotatable connector comprises a pedestal, a spring, a holding plate, a universal coupling and a receptacle. The pedestal has a base plate, several ledges and a pair of pillars extending upwardly from the base plate. The pillars stand opposite sides of the base plate and outside the ledges. Each pillar has a hole therein. The spring is arranged to encase the ledges. A plurality of bulges is projected outwardly from an outer edge of the holding plate and pressed on the spring. Embodiments of the invention provide methods for forming electrical connections using liquid metals. Electrical connections that employ liquid metals are useful for testing and validation of semiconductor devices. A method of forming an electrically conductive connection between two or more electrically conductive elements (2, 6) is provided, as is the resulting connection. Wherein the two or more electrically conductive elements (2, 6) are coated with a non-conductive coating (7), wherein an at least partially electrically conductive pasty medium (8) is located in a region (12) between the electrically conductive elements (2, 6) at regions of the electrically conductive elements (2, 6) which are substantially free from any non-conductive coating (7). The present invention relates to an electrochemical cell having a terminal collector plate element that conducts electrical current from the stack. The terminal plate has an electrically conductive region and an electrically non-conductive region of the surface. The non-conductive region is coated with a corrosion resistant coating that comprises either a passivation layer, a corrosion-resistant polymeric layer, or both. Optionally, the conductive region of the terminal plate may be protected from oxidation, by coating with an oxidation-resistant metal layer. The oxidation-resistant layer may be further coated with a conductive oxidation-resistant polymeric layer. Other preferred aspects of the present invention include methods of treating the terminal plate to resist corrosion and oxidation while still maintaining electrical conductivity.

An electrical connector and a conductive assembly thereof are disclosed. The electrical connector includes an insulating body disposed with a plurality of receiving spaces, a first conductor correspondingly received in a receiving space and one end of the first conductor is hollowed out to form a receiving cavity, a liquid conductor stored in the receiving cavity, a second conductor, and a compressive elastic member.
