Problems solved by technology

The precipitation of calcium fluoride and magnesium fluoride produced by the fluoride method is small, and the sedimentation is difficult. Only part of the calcium and magnesium in the manganese sulfate solution can be removed, and the purpose of separating calcium and magnesium is far from being achieved.

Abstract

The invention belongs to a hydrometallurgy field, which discloses a method for separating calcium and magnesium from manganese oxide. Crude (or elementary) manganic manganous oxide or manganese sesquioxide prepared by oxygen or air sulfur oxide acid manganese liquor or manganese hydroxide have high calcium and magnesium impurity of which contents are higher than national or industry standards. In the manganese oxide, the calcium and magnesium can exist in the forms such as sulfate and hydroxide. The method utilizes processes such as partial disliquor, morphological change of the oxide and rearrangement of crystal structure component, etc. of the manganese oxide in acid medium to cause the calcium and magnesium composition mixed with the manganese oxide to be exposed and dissolved to achieve the aim of separating the calcium and magnesium. Manganese mixed oxide is obtained after calcium and magnesium separated slurry is filtered, washed and parched; the manganic manganous oxide is obtained by thermally treating the mixture. The method for separating the calcium and magnesium from the manganese oxide has the advantages of easy control of reaction condition, good effect of removing the calcium and magnesium and low cost.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of wet separation, and particularly provides a method for separating calcium and magnesium from manganese oxides. Background technique [0002] The concentration of calcium and magnesium in the sulfuric acid or sulfur dioxide leach solution of pyrolusite is as high as 300mg.L -1 and 500mg.L -1 Above, especially the sulfuric acid leaching solution of manganese carbonate contains more calcium and magnesium ions. At present, the commonly used method for removing calcium and magnesium from manganese sulfate solution is the fluoride precipitation method, and the commonly used precipitating agents are ammonium fluoride, sodium fluoride, etc. The calcium fluoride and magnesium fluoride precipitation particles produced by the fluoride method are small, and the sedimentation is difficult. Only part of the calcium and magnesium in the manganese sulfate solution can be removed, and the purpose of separating calcium a...
