Abstract

In order to increase the endurance and lifetime of highly loaded components (6, 8, 12, 14, 24, 26, 34) of a steelworks, an electrolytically applied coating (38) is provided, comprising a ductile metallic base material (39 ), in particular nickel or a nickel alloy, with hard material particles (40), in particular boron carbide particles, incorporated in it.
