The invention relates to a pyrite cinder treatment method which comprises the following steps: mixing pyrite cinder and hydrofluoric acid of which the content is 5-10% according to 1g:3-10mL, and then adding into a reaction tank; reacting at normal temperature for 1-4 hours; and separating out the solid content in the mixture after reaction. When the iron content in the pyrite cinder can not meet the iron making requirement, the reaction of hydrofluoric acid and silicon dioxide can effectively reduce the silicon content in the pyrite cinder, so that the beneficiation and conglomeration calcining method may be not used any more, thereby simplifying the pyrite cinder treatment process and reducing the production cost.
