Through adoption of the method, nanometer ZnO is uniformly dispersed in a polymeric matrix, so that the stability of the polymer-based nanometer ZnO composite tanning agent is improved. When the method is applied to the leather retanning procedure, the dyeing depth of the leather can be greatly increased so that the K/S value of the dyed leather is increased by 98.26 %, the fullness of the leather is improved so that the tanned leather is thickened by 20.88 %, and the leather is endowed with good antibacterial property and aging resistance.
