Abstract

The invention discloses lutein effervescent tablets for prevention and treatment of retinal macular degeneration and a preparation method thereof. Through scientific proportion of water-soluble lutein and zeaxanthine and through prescription screening, the weight percentage of the lutein with an antioxidant effect is determined to be 0.2-20%, and the weight percentage of auxiliary materials is determined to be 80-99.8%. Each sheet of the antioxidant lutein effervescent tablets preferably contains 2-20 mg of the lutein with the antioxidant effect. The ratio of the lutein with the antioxidant effect to zeaxanthine is 2:1. The novel effervescent preparation which is easy to store and carry, rapid in disintegration, convenient to take, fast in acting and high in bioavailability is obtained.
