Abstract

The invention discloses a method for treating dye production wastewater by adopting magnesium oxide coagulation and Fenton oxidation treatment. The method comprises the following steps: taking light calcined magnesia as a raw material; adding a certain amount of magnesium oxide into the wastewater; realizing magnesium oxide coagulation by regulating PH; and adding a Fenton oxidizing agent, regulating PH, oxidizing and removing COD and chromaticity. The purity of the light calcined magnesia is 85-92%; the coagulation PH of the adopted coagulation alkaline NaOH solution is 11-12; the adopted Fenton oxidizing agent contains iron vitriol and hydrogen peroxide; m(H2O2):m(Fe2+)=4-6; the suitable value for PH regulation is 3-5. According to the method, the organic content in the dyeing wastewater can be effectively removed, the chromaticity is reduced and the method is suitable for the treatment for the dye production wastewater.
