Abstract

The invention discloses niobium-modified active aluminum oxide for formaldehyde purifying as well as a preparation method and application thereof. Active aluminum oxide is put into a niobium salt solution with certain concentration, a proper amount of hydrochloric acid is added, and suction filtration is performed after ultrasonic processing is performed for 5-12 hours; and an obtained sample is used after being separately treated by two temperatures. The active aluminum oxide treated by low-concentration niobium salt with niobium concentration being greater than 0 and smaller than or equal to 0.012 mol / L is put into a drying oven of 50 DEG C to be dried for 12 hours, and then is applied to formaldehyde purifying; and the active aluminum oxide treated by high-concentration niobium salt with niobium concentration being greater than 0.012 mol / L and smaller than or equal to 0.020 mol / L is put into into the drying oven of 50 DEG C to be dried for 12 hours, and is roasted under air atmosphere for 4-5 hours at a roasting temperature of 400-500 DEG C. The preparation method disclosed by the invention can be suitable for modifying of the active aluminum oxide and molecular sieve, can improve performance to be 2-5 times of those of an unprocessed sample; and the niobium-modified active aluminum oxide is not liable to desorption when environmental condition changes, so that secondary pollution is avoided.
