The water-based paint has strong anti-corrosion ability; and when applied onto a steel drum, the water-based paint has strong adhesion and high gloss, and the steel drum has the characteristicsof better resistance to solvents, steaming and cooking, etc. The water-based paint also has the following advantages: 1, the paint uses water as a solvent and a dispersion medium, thereby saving a lotof resources; 2, the paint can be directly applied on a wet surface and in a wet environment; 3, the manner of electrophoretic coating can be employed for coating of the paint, so a paint film is uniform and has good spreadability; 4, painting tools can be cleaned with water; and 5, the paint is safe, non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive.
